This ring has been designed for mounting an Atik 383L+/4000 camera and a EFW2 filter wheel on the Takahashi CA-35 photo adapter. Its 17 mm thickness matches the 56.2 mm backfocus required behind the CA-35 to be respected. Although the ring may seem highly specialized, we decided to produce a series for astrophotographers wishing to convert an M54 male thread to an M54 male thread. It can also be used as an M54 extension ring to compensate, for example, for the absence of an accessory in the optical path.
It's very important to calculate the total length of the assembly of accessories in order to scrupulously respect the backfocus requirements of your instrument ; mechanical backfocus is the distance between the last mechanical bearing surface of the instrument, a field corrector or a focal reducer and the surface of your sensor. If in doubt, don't hesitate to contact your Takahashi dealer.
Designed by our team and manufactured in France by our partner mechanical workshop in Colmar, a specialist in high-precision machining in small series, this ring is made of aluminum and anodized in matte black.
