Proper balancing of the instrument ensures optimal tracking of the equatorial mount without forcing the mechanical and electrical elements of the motorisation. Takahashi offers a range of counterweights adapted to all its equatorial mounts.
Takahashi counterweights are made of cast aluminium. The finishing of each counterweight is done manually. A system combining a screw with an internal metal extension allows an efficient tightening on the counterweight bar of the equatorial mount, without any risk of slipping.
