To attach its telescope tube rings, Takahashi only offers plates specific to its equatorial frame models. Optique Unterlinden therefore offers a plate fitted with a standard Losmandy dovetail for attaching Takahashi tube rings to other brands' mounts.
The dovetail is fitted with 3 sets of holes, with specific spacings: 90mm for FSQ and Epsilon telescope tube rings, 100mm for TOA refractors' tube rings and 125mm for Mewlon-250 telescopes' tube rings. The hole centers of each set are calculated to fit the length of the various top plates available on the tube rings. This dovetail is therefore universal, since it allows the attachment of all possible combinations of Takahashi tube rings.
The plate has only 2 different hole diameters (10.5mm or 8.5mm), depending on the tube rings. There is no threaded holes for Takahashi cradles.
Designed by our technical team, this dovetail bar is manufactured in small series in our partner mechanical workshop in Colmar, France. The finish is extremely meticulous and will perfectly match your Takahashi telescope.
