The Triplet Ortho-Apochromat concept of the TOA refractors makes it possible to combine sharpness and extraordinary contrast. This unique optical formula, based on a highly air-spaced ED triplet, has the advantage of completely eliminating spherical aberration while having the best chromatic correction in the Takahashi telescopes range. TOA excels in both high planetary resolution and deep sky imaging, fully exploiting the capabilities of cameras with the largest sensors.
The TOA-130NFB is equipped with an oversized 102 mm (4") rack-and-pinion focuser (with 1/7 microfocuser), a CAA (Camera Angle Adjuster) ring for photographic framing, an FQR-1 base for 7x50 finder scope and a retractable dew shield. This focuser supports the heaviest photo setups including large sensor CCD cameras, without mechanical constraints.
