Doublets

A doublet lens consists of two lenses. Although this is the simplest formula for a telescope lens, it is not necessarily synonymous with inferior quality, quite the contrary. Takahashi uses only high-end lenses with very low chromatic dispersion, ED glass or fluorite, for the realization of all of them. In the same way, all the lenses are air-spaced mounted, more difficult to realize and to assemble but offering superior performances.
